How to Prepare and Use Mustard Oil Cake for Garden Plants

 Mustard oil cake is one of the most powerful organic fertilizers used in Indian gardening. It is a natural by-product obtained after extracting oil from mustard seeds, especially through the cold-pressed or kachi ghani method. Rich in nitrogen, phosphorus, and essential organic nutrients, mustard cake improves soil fertility and promotes healthy plant growth. However, using it correctly is very important because it is highly concentrated in its raw form. Most beginner gardeners make the mistake of applying mustard oil cake directly to soil in large quantities. This can cause root burn due to its strong nutrient concentration. The best and safest way to use mustard oil cake in gardens is by preparing a fermented liquid solution.
